Melvyn Edouard Hesselberg (5. april 1901 – 4. august 1981), poznatiji kao Melvyn Douglas, bio je američki glumac. Poznat je po tome što je osvojio tri od četiri najprestižnije nagrade u američkoj industriji zabave - dva Oscara, jedan Tony i jedan Emmy.

Douglas je bio oženjen dva puta. Kratki brak s Rosalind Hightower je proizveo sina Gregoryja Hesselberga, oca glumice Ileanne Douglas. Nakon nje se oženio za demokratsku političarku Helen Gahagan, poznatu po sukobu s Richardom Nixonom. Upravo je Douglas za budućeg predsjednika upotrijebio nadimak Tricky Dick (Pokvareni Dick).
