ഏഷ്യയിലെയും ആഫ്രിക്കയിലെയും മധ്യരേഖാ-അർദ്ധമധ്യരേഖാപ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു തവളകുടുംബമാണ് ഫോർക്ക് നാക്കൻ തവളകൾ (Dicroglossidae) [1][2] ഇവയിലെ മിക്ക ജനുസുകളെയും സ്പീഷിസുകളെയും ഏഷ്യയിൽ ആണ് കണ്ടുവരുന്നത്.[1]

നേരത്തെ റാനിഡേ കുടുംബത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്ന ഇവയിലെ അംഗങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ വ്യക്തമായിത്തന്നെ പുതിയ കുടുംബത്തിൽ ആണ് ഉള്ളത്.[1][2][3]
