IMAX

IMAX (z angl. Image MAXimum – maximum obrazu) je označenie formátu veľkorozmerného kinematografického systému, ktorý vyvinula spoločnosť IMAX Corporation. Je založený na použití 70 mm formátu negatívu namiesto klasického 35 mm formátu, vďaka čomu je možné dosiahnuť vyššie rozlíšenie a väčší obraz. Štandardné plátno pre systém IMAX má rozmery 22x16 metrov a udávané rozlíšenie 10000x7000 bodov.
